“An army of gray-haired women may quietly take over the Earth.”
Gloria Steinem spent nearly a century teaching us how to be our truest, fiercest selves.
Thank you for leading the way, for listening, and for never backing down. Rest easy, Gloria. We’ve got it from here.
@Strandjunker Respect.
@Strandjunker I would warmly welcome an army of gray-haired women taking over from all these psychopathic males who destroy everything around us all.

Sep 3, 2026, 2:35 PM@Strandjunker Among the most persistent and inspiring activists are the Swiss KlimaSeniorinnen (climate senior women). And they have a very important victory to their name.
@Strandjunker One thing I'll always respect her for, is parting with Jane Fonda on clean baseload energy, and helping the education industry better understand character trait inheritance.
She was a true pioneer.
@Strandjunker The older I get, the better an idea that army sounds like.
My Mom bought me some Gloria Steinem books when I was in my early 20s.
I remember how mind blown I was when I learned that in the late sixties or early seventies, she needed an escort to go to the Plaza hotel in New York for tea.
Women needed to be chaperoned.
And then younger women started rejecting the feminist label and I would tell them that story and stories about women who could not get credit cards without their husbands' permission.
Thank you Gloria for your help.
@Strandjunker I’m in, when do we start ?
