Why are we taking all these gen-AI dickheads seriously? Anthropic is chasing 5 gigawatts of power for their speculative data centres in NSW.

That's many times more than existing data centre capacity.

There is _literally_ not enough power generation in NSW to support it, and no chance that much capacity will be added anytime soon.

It's not credible. These companies are full of shit. I'm tired of people, and especially governments taking them seriously.
