If you haven't read this, you should. Regardless of what you think about being happy about someone's death, because that's kind of the point of the article.

I remember a version of me that could have written this.
I no longer feel shame, when I reflect on the disgust I feel for people like Lindsey Graham. I am proud that my reflex is so visceral. How could it be otherwise?
My body would feel a similar level of disgust if I put my attention on a pile of shit. Some humans have rejected their inner humanity so hard, they are rotten to the core; evil manifest.
May his energy be recycled into a more useful configuration. I feel more peace with his exit.
And may the author find peace with her feelings on the matter, without the unnecessary burden of shame.
@ricci
Am so happy that am among the people that have got the opportunity to read this.
Sometimes we must pay evil with evil such that evil knows that evil hurts
Am so disappointed in the hypocrites who use religion to enslave people's minds and make them vulnerable
@ricci well, yes, everyone deserves love. But we do not have to love everyone. That responsibility is just too much. And it is unkind, and maybe even arrogant, to demand it of ourselves. We, too, are human, and deserving of love and forgiveness. And we do have a responsibility to love ourselves. It's the only way to be able to receive the love of others.
@ricci this reminds me of being a kid. You don’t learn hate until someone has hated you for no reason. Until a whole class of second graders refuse to speak to you because their parents are racist. Sometimes I feel like the people that say you can love everyone have just never been marginalized or treated poorly. So yeah, it’s a privilege to be able to not be happy that some people are dead.
@ricci Thanks for posting this one, as I don't think I'd have found it otherwise. There's a lot going on in there, and I'm going to chew on it for a while.
@qning It was getting spread around enough it other places that it took down Assigned Media's webserver for a little while. I was surprised that it hadn't yet hit my feed here.
I think the author goes far too easy on Catholicism, personally.
But I understand wanting focus.
