Went out to the garden to plant broadbeans.
Picked some chilis since several are still happily hanging on. Picked about 20 Aji Charapita as part of that, then came in to make a salsa with them. This is kicking my butt but it tastes sooooo good.

I officially have a chili high. The endorphins are pumping and I can’t stop eating this. Hurts so good.
@sumisu3 Charapita is just an assfull of work but no butt kicker ;)
@carbon_compound I do chilis for flavor not for bragging rights so chasing the ultimate burn isn’t my thing and this chili is at the upper end of what I enjoy. Charapita, Tepin, Malagueta, Thai, Pequin all have flavor but not stupid hot for me. I really enjoy Arbol for most things as it has a really nice balance.
@sumisu3 in this case try Dente di Coyote. A very unique flavor.

@carbon_compound looks like that would require illegally smuggling seeds into New Zealand. Hmmmm
@carbon_compound that’s the same chili?
I order seeds from them all the time. Hadn’t noticed this one. On the list for my next order
@sumisu3 as it looks from here it might be more white than ivory in the end.
I think they have a very special taste while my wife can´t find a big difference to other chinense - you have to try it on your own.
