    #tools #unknown I guess this is used to open the spring steel thingies, but I have no bloody clue what this actually is - or what it is used for or where to install these springs.

    Picture of a tool by Ulmia, a bit like a cross between garden shears and a wrench? I don't know what it is, so sorry for the bad description...

    Update: I found it!
    Those a pliers to open spring "clamps" that are used to clamp mitre joints, like in picture frames! Not sure if I will use it ever, getting perfect mitres by hand is (currently) beyond my skills.

    Now that I think of it, I have seen the marks left by these spring clamps in frames!

    Ulmia pliers with a collection of quarter circles of spring steel in a yellow plastic insert. A picture in the centre shows that the springs are used to clamp mitre joints, such as found in picture frame corners.
