I think my laptop's battery life on Linux Mint is improved over Windows, but it's hard to tell since both Mint and Windows report wildly inaccurate time remaining. Mint is *less* inaccurate, starting off with 2 and a half hours remaining which should be what this laptop is capable of (is old and battery is stock) but jumping up to 3 hours 33 mins by the time it hits 53%, whereas Windows would repeatedly tell me the laptop is on the verge of dying when it was just taken off charge.
