The state of modern technology makes me sad. I want to be enthusiastic about new developments, I want to learn about interesting new technologies. But time and time again, it just proves to be another attempt to squeeze more money out of the customers while adding even more surveillance.
The modern web feels hostile and has become unusable without an ad blocker. I don't even need a fancy UI, just don't annoy me with a constant flow of pop-ups and upselling attempts.
