So, this is your regular reminder that phishing eMails are getting REALLY good...
I received TWO phishing messages for different online web brokerage companies, and they look quite authentic.
But I'm not a client of those companies, so I knew it was a scam.
Please remind your friends and family members not to click on links in eMail, ESPECIALLY if they're urgent or threatening dire consequences.
@JustinDerrick @Lizette603_23 Indeed! The scammers are getting smoother.
@wendinoakland @Lizette603_23 What's particularly funny is that I tried to forward one of the messages to the company's 'abuse' eMail address...
But it was rejected...
Because it looked like spam...
Because it WAS spam...
That I was trying to report...
So I ended up calling their main number, and the receptionist was clearly suspicious of my motives... But I did get some information sent along.
@JustinDerrick @Lizette603_23 Lol! I have a suspicious eye for phishing but some really slick attempts have slipped through. Vigilance, dude.
@JustinDerrick they owe you for your services
