First of all, in terms of Gaza specifically, it is super disingenuous to frame this as we were mad Kamala Harris "didn't do enough on Gaza", because that implies Biden/Harris were doing something for Palestinians, but not enough for us personally. This totally misses the point. They were active participants in the genocide. If you unconditionally arm a genocidal entity, which is what they were doing, the end result is genocide (2/x)

Biden stopped members of his own State Department from enforcing US wrt weapons transfers to Israel, and threats he made publicly to Israel.

They not only stopped all ceasefire attempts at the UN, but repeated every lie and every narrative Israel used to justify what it was doing.

Here is an Israeli official openly admitted they only got this far Biden basically covered for them

So that's on Gaza specifically. Dems are committing a crime. Trump are also committing the same crime, but adding this crazy talk about letting Jared Kushner develop a casino there. But you will notice that in both cases, all the Palestinians in Gaza end up dead or expelled. There's no option for "let's do a little good, but it's not enough" on this SPECIFIC issue (4/x)

But more generally, from a purely pragmatic "let's just win elections and do incremental change!" point of view, moving to the right is a horrible strategy for winning elections. The center-left sucks at beating fascists! And we know that in large part, well, because of all of the history of modern capitalism. But also because Joe Biden was supposed to be the slow, boring, compromise candidate that vanquished Trump forever and yet here we are (6/x)
