At what point could an agentic coded project no longer be considered vibed slop? Obviously comment I only had four options.

Vim was the first extensible text editor I ever tried. Today, it's better than ever.

More like "We asked AI execs simple questions and they couldn't answer them"

With the new Canadian tariffs for US based whey, we have a new kind of vain scarcity: cow goo protein supplements. So I switched to the most complete plant based protein I could find.

It tastes like fermented vegetables doused in vanilla.

Elbows up *gags*

Of all the challenges I didn't expect to have it was any fucking greeter not starting sway.

Usually with NixOS you just set the display and window manager up and call that part a day.

I can switch to TTY 3 and just start sway there.

I don't wanna hit the wall and try something else. I just want to salvage as much of my i3 setup as possible

Just got my first reason to switch to Wayland and it's Waydroid. This way, I can use my stupid fitness trainer's training app without a smart device.

Also, the fact that it's an AI Driven "distro" really puts the plagiarism cherry on top. Imagine being able to sell your Arch rice for millions. The audacity and if course it's working 🙄

I was going over the Omarchy website this morning with a dear friend/foss contributor on a call this morning. All the shameful political stuff aside, objectively, they have taken decades of work made by real contributors, packaged it, made it look like it's theirs and are grifting it for 18.5 million dollars.

Let that sink in. Fucking scoundrels

Don't you just love it when a meeting gets canceled?

My wife painted a couple birbs and I can't even

I may not be the greatest developer there is, but I am without a doubt, one of the developers in web development.

I just hope that the vim project isn't struggling on the inside with this crap the way that Neovim has been. The DHH Omarchy "fucking give 'er on the AI" circle jerk seems deep in the Neovimsphere and I'm frankly out.

And yes, I know: The vim project receives LLM contributions. The truth is, you don't get to know when and where these LLM contributions happen all the time.

It feels like fighting a hornet's nest with a fly swatter.

I have to navigate all the shitty around the very close AI influence and "research and AI enablement" projects I am more or less forced into at work now.

I can't even kid myself into an AI free lifestyle. My income is too important to my family, so upstream vim will have to do.

After the "fun" I had in the Neovim Github tracker this week, I poured a ton of love back into my old vimrc.

I also updated my website theme to pair up with the new vim colorscheme I'm enjoying.

And lastly, I redirected my financial support for Neovim back into Vim.. I even own some of the official merch. I'll drop it off at a donation center the next time I go to the dump.

Life goes on, man.

Apparently this issue has been brought up about the Neovim website already and was deleted - tooting it here so that there is some record.

@easilok also fyi if you had a similar use case just replace ConjureConnect with I think cider-connect(?) and you're doing it in Emacs

CC: @easilok - sorry it took so long.
