From the Call: What is your personal antonym for “vibe coding”?

ZFS can display I/O statistics for a given pool using the iostat subcommand.
By default, it will display one line of current activity. To display stats
every 5 seconds run the following command (cancel with CTRL+C):

zpool iostat 5

To view individual disk activities, specify the -v parameter:

zpool iostat -v

Of course, both can be combined. For more options, see zpool(8).

Earlier this month, FreeBSD was represented at IndiaFOSS 2026, where community member Shane Cardoz helped coordinate a FreeBSD booth over two days of the conference.

The booth gave attendees an opportunity to explore FreeBSD firsthand, with live demonstrations highlighting features such as Jails and ZFS.

A big thank you to Shane and everyone who helped represent FreeBSD and connect with the open-source community at IndiaFOSS 2026!

I'm considering a presentation for EuroBSDCon 2027. The title could be:
"How to vibe code an OpenBSD Bluetooth Driver".

@h3artbl33d - I think you second this, don't you? 😆

In order to search for a string in some files, use 'grep' like this:

grep "string" filename1 [filename2 filename3 ...]

This will print out the lines in the files that contain the string. grep can
also do a lot more advanced searches - type 'man grep' for details.

Customer: what's the best Linux containerisation solution?

"illumos - LX zone"

Qué hilera perfecta surca la tierra; qué maravilloso huerto. Qué lejos del libre andar de los cazadores-recolectores, de su idea de cosecha.
