So it's 2 hours before the Olivia Rodrigo concert in #Chicago, and StubHub has cancelled the tickets we purchased 5 months ago.

I wonder if anyone in Congress can help? I have all the receipts, I have screenshots of every interaction today.

The automated customer service bot ended the chat on its own, and we are not able to reach anyone at their 866 phone number.

Wow. A day spent watching DVR tutorials, and it's clear that Final Cut may be irredeemable as a professional tool.

I mean hey, I have played gigs on a Squier strat, but when you play a guitar designed to address the concerns of someone who makes a living on the instrument, even (especially?) the basics get a *ton* of attention. (1/5)

To achieve even a semblance of the colour management that is taken for granted in DVR, you have to use a series of kludgy, buggy, and often expensive indie plug-ins.

And there is no sense that the designers of Final Cut have ever had to integrate with other teams in a post-production environment. It really reminds me a lot of the presets that you get on digital guitar equipment—designed by guys who design presets for living, who don't feed their families by performing. (2/5)

This week, I learned a potentially disastrous lesson the easy way.

Hired a shooter for our gig in Anaheim, and told him I would provide SD cards, so that we wouldn't have to do a round of copying, etc., on site. He was shooting with Sony FX30 and FX3.

When I got home, and opened up the SD cards, I noticed that the expected video files were not there, but there were gigantic .RSV files instead. Upon investigation it turns out they are the files that Sony cameras create if there is some kind of power failure or the camera crashes. They will not natively play back as video files, however, unless they are converted. All the utilities I found on the web were paid, so I reached out to our guy to see if he had any thoughts. (2/9)
