Picard is so, so good at tagging. It’s been my go-to for many years now.
I didn’t even know a V3 was on the horizon! Looking forward to trying this out.

I had this just yesterday, and now the "fun" part is all the slides are AI-created, so you get to hear the person say every few minutes "oh, claude got that wrong"
Ugh, bots for new account requests are getting so good. Their account justifications seem quite real, now it's a guessing game of "you came from Tor and this really looks like the same old headless browser as everyone else"
Now I have to build a db of headers just to see who is coming in with exact matches.

I can never recommend SI units ever again.
Thanks, asshat.

My spouse just told me “i can’t tell if im drunk, im not wearing my glasses” and it’s about the most adoreable thing I’ve ever heard
Excellent work, Polis. Absolutely no one could have seen that from literally a mile away.

What I love so much about this clip is that it’s a real and thoughtful discussion by sports people.
If you live in the US, you might as well have seen aliens land. This, flat-out, does not happen here.
This discussion wasn’t passive. It didn’t pretend “situations are difficult to explain”or “innocent lives were lost”. It called out genocide for what it is.
(I'm fully aware there is zero room for nuance, and yet I'm posting this anyway - here we go!)
Isn't it amazing how the person who says:
"Open source software isn't polished enough for me, and doesn't have the features I want"
and...
"This OSS project uses #LLMs and #AI , we need to shame them, stop your donations!"
and...
#AI is useless and solves no problems #noai #noai #noai
and...
"Hey I can't figure out how to install docker on debian wtf why are there no instructions"
IS ALWAYS THE SAME GUY
Like...hello frens. I'm your buddy, moderation.
Maybe you need to find a middle ground between "buy sam altman another boat" and "learn how to benefit from a new technology which is solving real problems for some people who need it, and not all of them are brainrot shitheads, and one of them could be you!"
People who use LLMs and say they are losing their skills are choosing to do so. That's like saying "i don't know anything anymore because someone wrote wikipedia".
You know you can use tools to learn? You know you can ask for citations? You know you can ask for guides?
...it should be mentioned that, very often, "singing" sounds like the following
"ohhhh we're halfway therrrreee
OHHHH OH
SQUIDWARD ON A CHAIRRR"
...and i have to say...yup, still great
My kiddo has hit a phase in life where they are just wandering the house singing 80s and 90s songs, and I love it so much
It's quite nice that #DEVONthink shipped their own MCP now. The previous community one was pretty limited (functional...but not great). The new supported version has 59 tools and a nice integrated installation path
I had to do a little trickery to get other machines on the network to read from it, but not bad in the end. it's much nicer to simply expose an IP and a port instead of needing every machine to have it's own MCP copy
And….this wasted like 30 days off the market during the prime buying season before summer.
Some people are just awesome.
Trying to sell house, update 706
Inspection came back very clean. Proposed buyer said “in lieu of fixing any issues, we request seller pays us $10k”.
I said no. There’s like $500 in work on their list. If you’re going the extortion route, why not ask for like 50k?
They cancelled the contract. Reason “house failed inspection.”
This shit should be literally illegal. And now I have to disclose to everyone that my house failed inspection. Because the law says so.
I’m frankly thrilled I have no idea why everyone is talking about seashells
Something something fascism I can only assume
I despise selling a house so much. If I ever buy another, i'm dying in it.
