Whenever Dinah wants attention, she sits right there and DEMANDS I immediately stop everything I am doing and sit on the couch with her. If I am doing something this does not matter. She screams like she's suffering and she does this for as long as it takes for me to sit down on the couch.
@sillyCoelophysis very few people can comprehend the time knife

Tonight at the Portland Thorns vs NC Courage game, TERFs in the GA supporters section wearing XXXY shirts held up transphobic banners during the second half. Supporters in the section responded by waving trans flags, and more trans flags were passed out to supporters in front of them to block out their banner. As the game progressed, brave fans took their banners as the crowd chanted "Trans Lives Matter" and "Go home, fascists go home." Members of the Rose City Riveters held up Trans Lives Matter scarves and marched up and down the aisles. The message was clear: Transphobic bullshit isn't welcome in Portland.
Eventually security arrived and escorted the group of fascists away. As they were led out of the stadium, they filmed fans who waved trans flags and middle fingers at them.
Tonight was the last home game of the regular season for the Thorns, and fascists attempted to exploit that as a chance to stir up anti-trans hate at the game. Portland resoundingly told them to go fuck themselves.

I teach my stats students the rules of "tidy data" so when they go out into the world maybe it will be just a little better.
This year they really enjoyed it. I wonder if "tidy tuesday" is still a thing.
Unsloppable.
Frontierer's new album just came out today. I haven't listened to it yet, but based on the title alone, the track Terraforming Myself is about to become my theme song. :heart_trans:
Rent lowering gunshots or whatever, but I'm gonna reiterate that having a small penis is not shameful, it's shitty to make fun of people for (supposedly or actually) having small penises, and people with small penises can have fulfilling sex lives.
I'm posting so fucking hard right now
Girl comprised entirely of apologies.
Don't tell me what to do, pill.
I find this infuriating, partly because it's such a broader issue. Someone I know had appendicitis when she was 16, and they gave her a pelvic exam. They asked her in front of her mom if she'd had sex yet and then assumed she was pregnant or contracted an STI, because "women amirite?"
For those that don't know what a pelvic exam is, here's a helpful, reassuring description from Mayo Clinic: "A pelvic exam often lasts only a few minutes. Your doctor or other care provider checks your vulva, vagina, cervix, ovaries, uterus, rectum and pelvis for any unusual changes."
It's quite invasive. This shouldn't be seen as routine, essentially nothing, by patients or providers, but women are conditioned into that, and so are medical students. Pelvic exams shouldn't be performed on unconscious patients ("for teaching purposes") without their consent, either.
