    I find it extraordinary that the Labour Party is discussing reducing the money the pensioners should rightly have after working hard all their lives when the top 5% of the country own 65% of our nation's wealth. As best as I understood, the Labour Party was set up to look after the workers not protect the privileged few.

    @Geri i feel like there is a reasonable argument to be made that the labour movement and the labour party have never had their interests align really.

    Even going back to the second labour government in the 1930s they squashed the miners strikes in favour of coal barons.
