In a UPS that's just crazy. I feel like RGB is the current band-aid for bad design aesthetics.

A lot of my stuff has RGB too. My gaming rig still has some of it on because... cool! But anything battery powered has the RGB off to save on battery power.
RGB is definitely a band-aid for bad design aesthetics. A cheap visual shortcut for "look at me I'm a *gamer*!".
