I wonder if the number of "open source" projects has grown exponentially & unsustainably due to slop projects and/or if they're trying to monetize the growing number of projects. It could be the administrative cost is no longer worth the good will it was getting them (lots of growing businesses do "loss leader", ... until they've captured the market).
That it's happening at the same time as the 3 million suggests that's cheaper than what they were doing. :-/

we need more companies willing to stand up for diversity and inclusion generally, I didn't know Akamai was good on that, so that's great to learn!
