@TodePond @th4 yes, but you are answering "what's the unit of algorave", I was answering "what's the unit of livecoding".
Both are important questions and related, but not the sams. For algorave, I agree with event.

Event feels too "big" for me and most of the time I do live coding (?), it is not during an algorave event.

Feels too unspecific to me. Events can be very short moments or multi-day-camps. Is an important unit, but does feel more molecular than atomic.
Maybe "performance", rather than jam?

i think performance is pulling in a direction i'm pulling away from with "event"
