@TodePond just watched this ALGOTOURS video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0b9LFR4Z_s (and couldn't find your post about it).

I think the unit of livecoding is 1 jam.

Today, I saw a rare historical document: A poster of a hip hop concert in the GDR.

The date (Spring of 1989) predates the fall of the wall. The location is named after a communist, proletarian writer and poet.

The poster is part of an exhibition showing works of Jörg Hafemeister in Potsdam. This is one of the oldest pieces in the exhibition.

A question to people who record their audio production/jams with OBS (I'm using windows if that's relevant):

Does OBS have a built-in limiter which can change how the sounds sound like when being produced, especially on headphones?

I've found that my strudel (or flok?) session sounds different (ie more muted) as soon as I hit record.

Even if you don't use flok or strudel, I am still interested in your OBS pecularities. Boosts are welcome.

It's never too late for an #introduction

I'm a Berlin based live-coder. I like making music with code, especially together with other people in jams.

I didn't realize one could have speechda nostalgia.

Hey fediverse.

My desktop's power supply noticed me (with some sparks and a bit of a burnt smell) that it won't do the power thing anymore.

It was a bequiet! Pure Power 11 with 500w. It looks like this model isnt being produced anymore.

If anyone who's more versed in hardware (I am not) could suggest a replacement (same brand is fine). Boosts are welcome.

The european commission is consulting on an AI strategy for the cultural and creative sectors.

https://culture.ec.europa.eu/whats-new/news/european-commission-publishes-call-for-evidence-on-ai-strategy-for-the-cultural-and-creative-sectors

Until the 11th of September, they are asking for feedback by artists, creators and citizens (and other parties) on their views on access to culture, European creation, preservation and promotion of cultural diversity and ethical innovation in the age of AI.

Can anyone help me finding the time signature of this childhood song of mine?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qctAw00eLV0

the track is named "the mill game"

the lyrics (Hab ich eine Mühle, nehm ich Dir einen Stein.) are along the lines of "If I get a mill, I'll take a piece of yours."

Hey #pastagang can we get a hedgedoc to do some planning and coordination?

Does #pastagang want to participate in this event (6th of september, in Berlin, but there's wifi)?

I have a projector (it's probably bad) and a laptop (it's probaly not enough for audio and visual from nudel) which I can bring.

I could probably get hold of a bluetooth speaker too.

Both the general exhibition in the afternoon as well as the AV performances in the evening could be interesting.

I plan to go there, if there's someone else with a second laptop even better.

this is my contribution to the live ? coding ? discourse about what livecoding is.

Suggestions on better examples and different interpretations are welcome.

New dark mode and new version below.

I have no experience with this kind of mixed media, so suggestions about other ways to do it are also welcome.

Also some bonus questions which didn't fit into the initial post:

- can I take the svg from tinyurl and replace the middle with an own icon of mine?
- where to get stickers of these? Local print shop? If ordering online, I'd prefer some shipping within EU.

Hello Fediverse! I'm looking for some advice how to approach the following #AR #QRcode problem:

I want to augment a physical medium (journal) with links. I'd like to be able to open the links with a mobile device.

The links are like these, probably longer:

https://strudel.cc/#Ly9AdGl0bGUgZGVtbwovLyB0aGlzIGNvdWxkIGJlIGEgcHJldHR5IGxvbmcgc3RydWRlbCBwYXR0ZXJuLCBidXQgYXQgdGhpcyBtb21lbnQgaXQncyBvbmx5IGEgdHJlc2lsbG8gY3JvdwoKJDogcygiY3JvdygzLDgpIik%3D

I plan to do about 10 of these.

I have thought about a few options, I am wondering if anyone has made a similar thing and tools they recommend:

- use a QR code generator (this will result in very 'big' QR codes due to the long url)
- use an url shortener like tinyurl and its QR code generator for these shorter urls (this will result in a shorter link, like these https://tinyurl.com/p425dwuz
- set up some AR app where the codes can be even smaller, but which requires more setup, both on my side and the potential reader (similar to a whiteboard techno installation I saw being posted here)

Boosts are welcome, hashtag suggestions too.

I really liked the patterns of this flower. It's probably a wild carrot. the thing in the middle is part of the flower, not an insect

What's with your ssl certificate, #pastagang?

Oh, is the question mark messing up the tag recognition? #pastagang @pastagang

This is awesome! Really nice groove. The only medicine that helps against a heat wave is more dub (and cowbell).

I don't know enough about html to jugde if this a thing which would work well with wwwobble https://wwwobble.org/ by @ojack & collaborators

Usually when spambots come to your discord server, it's annoying.

when they also get admin rights and make channels, it's concerning.

when they delete everything, it's a crisis.

not for #pastagang

you must delete.
