It's about to get *bad* and stay *bad* here, probably for a decade.

@kagan Yeah, we had a bit of a free ride for a LONG time where I live. Our conservatives had to pretend to be liberal/centrists, and our liberal/centrists had to pretend to be leftists (for reasons, it takes a lot of explaining), but now as in so many places, the masks are off.

@kagan The good news is that our Green party is getting attention and a little bit of traction, so it's *possible* they could rise to become our actually progressive party if we work really really hard at it. I'm a member, and I volunteer here and there, where I can.
