I'm at the hospital right now for an outpatient appointment (don't worry, nothing serious). Even though I had my covid jab a little over 2 weeks ago and my flu jab a couple of weeks before that and am probably maximally protected round about now, it just seems like basic common decency to wear a mask.

I am so far the only person I have seen, patient or staff, doing so.

WTF is wrong with people? It's a hospital, FFS.

it's also where you'll find people who might not do so well should they catch any infection on top of the health issues they are at the hospital or doctor's surgery for.

Few medical professionals mask. The dental hygienists do and in operating rooms only. I have had 2 outpatient visits this year and multiple scans in the past years. Only a few patients in waiting rooms have been wearing anything beyond surgical masks. A hip replacement in June and a colonoscopy recently.
