👀 I've been reading up on Mode S Transponders and 1090 MHz ADS-B stuff and while the nitty gritty protocol level details need 4 more shots of espresso than I am currently willing to drink to understand I think I understand the basics

and its cool that you can get this data with off the shelf equipment and software - RTL-SDR + dump1090 + Raspberry Pi and you can use pyModeS to decode it live like using Wireshark to look at IP packets
