    Is it normal for arXiv preprints to have the branding of the authors' institution and funder thus on the PDF?

    First page of a preprint PDF. Top left: Yale wordmark. Top right: the wordmark or logo of the funder (and the employer of some of the authors)

    @nyhan No. That is weird.

    In my field, organization information is either in an address field under each author's name or in footnotes so multiple authors at the same institution take up less space, and funder information is in the Acknowledgements section.

    Although the last three papers I've reviewed have put LLM usage declarations in the Acknowledgements sections, so maybe that's going to change?

    @Robotistry ICMJE says to put LLM usage for writing support into the acknowledgement section, so I bet that we will see that more and more.

    @nyhan One would hope that the Acknowledgments section would be big enough to hold the "thank you for your money" and the "thank you for providing the tool we used" AND the "explanation of what work I actually did and what my tools were responsible for".

    Regardless, it's weird to put logos in the title page header!
