@cyberquixote
My mental health on Twitter was really not great. Stepping away from the anger and constant need to be triggered was good for me.
I've had to mute a lot of topics on here. And mute a lot of people I otherwise would like to chat with. People who repost spammy memes by accounts that just copy other people's work. Or steal photos. That's a big one for me, as a photographer. Or just fill my feed with negativity.
The Fediverse does better at allowing us to take control of our mental health environment. It's a little more empowering for the individual. And the reward has been discovering so many people here who are kind, thoughtful, talented, intentional... And also struggling with the same shit that I'm struggling with each and every day.
