"Apathy" is when you don't know and don't care.
"Complacency" is when you know and still don't care.
E.g. apathy is not knowing that chocolate beans are harvested by enslaved children. Complacency is buying chocolate anyway.

Frankly learning about this was enough to make me stop buying chocolate, and I love chocolate.
If you didn't know, well, sorry to be the one to clue you in, but now you know.
So if you buy chocolate (and are not really REALLY careful whom you buy it from) you are part of the problem.
We can have chocolate without the child slavery, I have to believe that.
But we won't get it as long as we keep buying slave-grown chocolate.
