    Hello #craft folks, maybe you can help me with this question?

    My older son (pre-teen) wants to do decorated magnets, where a glass pebble is glued to a pretty paper and then to a magnet. In the craft book they suggest using E6000 to glue the magnet.

    However, when I looked online, some people are vocal against E6000 for it being toxic. Is there any less toxic glue you'd recommend for a kid to work with? Or do we need to use the stronger glues due to the materials?

    I appreciate any suggestions 🙂

    @marsiposa
    if you choose to use a glue with toxic fumes, may I suggest a simple box fan, and a cardboard box taped to it to form a "booth" on the intake side of the fan. basically the contraption is sucking the fumes away from your son and blowing them away from him. his breathing space stays clean air. do it outdoors and if theres wind have the fan blow the same direction as prevailing wind.

    @dlakelan would the fan go on the back of the booth?

    I never imagined that those box fans could be so useful. I have now two of them as corsi boxes, now a potential new one for a DIY fume hood...

    I had been thinking on similar lines, having him work under the kitchen fan (which is quite strong... not quite restaurant rated, but very good)

    @pthane that's good to know. I'm not sure if a glue gun works for this specific project, but he has a second project in mind that definitely needs one. Thanks!
