I had forgotten just how great, how amazing this record was in 1987, and it's still that great today. 4AD was an amazing label for a long while.

I was well into the 4AD roster at the time, so I bought "Eyesore" the week it was released.
The mega-deluxe edition all-formats box set was out of my price range, but I could afford the foldout slipcase vinyl+booklet version.
I wrote the label a gushing fan letter, not expecting anything back, and they sent me a (12" square) calendar.
A few years later, I saw the 1980 "Presage(s)" sampler LP (new, not cut) in a bargain bin for 4.99, so of course I bought it.
