    Bubble Gum Bandit - test painting

    I'm learning how to mix my own grays and I'm testing them out on paper before I move to the 24x24 inch panel.

    The process involves printing out the outline (standard printer paper size). Slipping a sheet of carbon paper between it and the watercolour paper (9x12 inch) and tracing the outlines. Remove the paper and carbon... et viola! Then I lay down a transparent colour to help me judge my tones.

    The transferred outline of Marilyn dressed as the bandit from the end of the Great Train Robbery, but blowing a large bubble.
    Same outline but now eye searingly bright green.
