I do think the answer to "Where are all the GPUs?" is as simple as a American tech giants Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle collectively $690 billion on a massive data center buildout this year. You can't just build massive gigantic gigawatt data centers overnight. You need concrete and steel and bulldozers and cranes and a lot of different things and materials. There's bound to be long delays when so much money is chasing all of it at the same time.

Lots of GPUs won't have come around by the time OpenAi and the rest of the "AI" companies declare bankruptcy due to nowhere near enough people willing to pay anything near cost for it.
