This is part of why I’ve resisted the temptation to attempt online anonymity or even strong pseudonymity. It creates an attractive target for miscreants. That’s not a judgment of anyone who already has motivated miscreants who are likely to be searching for them online by name or who have activities online for which they need an identity but it cannot be associated with their public persona. Y’all do y’all, but for me it’s more masks than I’m willing to maintain.
