Here is how my surreal pieces start. I put together a digital collage from my large vast photo collection. This piece has five photos. One my husband took, three I took, and one vintage portrait I purchased.

Next I'll draw my version of it in Procreate to test out the layout and sort out a color scheme. If I like it, I'll then do a larger painting in acrylics.
