I have updated my Arrogance of Space tool to use data from OpenStreetMap, so you don't have to do the work! It now works on its own to prefill squares with colors. Welcome to 2026!
Website:
https://cyklokoalicia.sk/arrogance/
Code:
https://github.com/nekromoff/arrogance-of-space
#openstreetmap #osm #arroganceofspace #javascript #webdev #urbanism #urban #mapping #map #maps #cities #cityscape #city #placemaking
Now you have unlimited possibilities. Before it would be lots of manual work (clicking and painting) to create large maps like this:
Trafalgar Square, London and around...
#urbanism #urbanplanning #architecture #cities #arroganceofspace #cityscape
The Arrogance of Space - Central Park, NYC
#urbanism #urbanplanning #architecture #cities #arroganceofspace #cityscape
As you can see, you have to change the square size on large zoom outs, so it can identify well and work its magic.
Better results on higher zooms and close ups.
