#Mastodon #fediverse question, if I write a toot in French, selecting French as the language of the post, then write alt-text in English, will that mess up people who use #screenreaders ?

Since I’m still trying to learn French, if I already know how to say something in French, and it makes more sense to write in French (like my meeting friends post, including the Eiffel Tower pic), I want to use French. But I also wrote the alt-text in French thinking I had to.

What’s best practice here ?
