@Kamikazepinguin yea, and their support is as useful as one might expect..
"I will send a fresh configuration to the router. Try another speed test in an hour, maybe that will fix it already."
Of course it didn't.. the Fritz was connecting just fine, but there seems to be some interference on the cable that messes up the upstream channels.. and that will require someone with a VNA to actually come here and plug it into the line..

@WooShell yep.... "have you tried unplugging your device?" Yes... i told you that about 10 seconds ago.... x(
The supporters dont even have a single hint how to really SOLVE problems, they just follow their given scripts, and escalate the issue up the chain until it reaches someone who may have an Idea... but to get there you have to call and re-open the ticket 20 times -.-

@Kamikazepinguin @WooShell as someone who works in support: never trust someone when they said that they did something before calling you. madness and hours of useless debugging lies that way.

@Kamikazepinguin .. and at 4am I got an SMS "we could not find any network problems, your ticket has been closed". My upstream still shows <1Mbit. With a freshly installed laptop plugged directly into the Fritze. Can't get any cleaner than this.
I've reopened the ticket and asked explicitly for an on-site technician to come measure the cable for interference.
