Seriously, I think people 20 to 30 years from now are going to look at the "average" cars here in the US the same way USians look at the long "boat" cars of the 1970s: as huge monstrosities that they can't imagine anyone actually thought looked good. Except instead of being too long the cars of today are excessively tall and wide.
