I’m afraid Micro.blog cross-posting via RSS is frequently only happening if I go in there and manually kick the feed, which more or less defeats the purpose. Anybody else have this issue and have remedies for it?
Unfortunately, the only networks it actually matters to me to cross-post to don’t allow it, so I’m not super duper incentivized to spend much energy fixing this. Might just switch back to https://mastofeed.org where I can make the posts look nice and they go up fairly instantly.
You know what I really wish, though? I wish auto-posting via RSS feeds were a built-in @Mastodon feature. I would volunteer unlimited time to help design it.
@ablaze If you aren't posting to Micro.blog often anymore, make sure you still sign in sometimes. Not well-documented but if the servers are busy the feed checking prioritizes active users. Have a feeling that might be the issue here, but could be something completely different too.
@manton Thanks Manton, and that does make sense, but I am signed in pretty often (because I’m going to refresh the feed)

@manton I am not exactly sure, prior to the post yesterday, but it was probably within the past week, as I frequently log in to manually refresh the feed when I publish a post. This is for taalumot.micro.blog, btw, not ablaze, if that is material
@ablaze Oh, yes, that is why I was confused. Thanks. I'm going to make some related tweaks, see if we can make this more robust.
