2026 is the best time to get started with #Godot
Given its current growth, its usage will be on-par with Unity by 2030

100% gdscript btw
I built Godot Cucumber, an addon + demo project running *.feature files using GdUnit 4 🥒
Fully automated "cucumber style" BDD tests in #GodotEngine via #gdunit. Every gameplay feature is tested now e2e. 🥒
```
@e2e @forging
Feature: Forging
Background:
Given a ready player
And the player equips a "copper hammer"
Scenario: Forge a hot hammer blank
Given the player carries a "copper hammer blank" at 10000 degrees
When the player walks to the anvil
And the player interacts
And the player forges until completion
```

Silo S3E10 was bonkers. 😱😱😱
Holy shit some guy went one year undercover within the UK Reform party and exposed their inner workings of corruption.
I came up with this GDScript pattern to control which enemies are eligible to demotivate the player. It helps me to keep my code organised and my mind sane. 🧠
Reminder to myself to move off Google and towards self-hosted/EU hosted alternatives. It's actually quite crazy how they do it: they combine the "storage" with photos/documents, so if your photo/document storage is full, Google blocks all emails unless you pay for their subscription!
We live in an era of Software Engineer cosplayers it seems. What have we done...

Having no big tech in the way. It feels like how the internet was originally intended: random people with similar interests being connected through self-hosted servers from amazinf volunteers.
Are there any #fediverse conferences or meetups in Europe?
Discovered a cool channel where a guy bought an abandoned mining town and is exploring mine shafts. 💎⛏️

Deterministic systems also can be tested and iterated on with deterministic unit tests. A test that passes will always pass, no matter how often you run it. For LLMs, one can achieve "deterministic" testing through scale, e.g. running the same test 1000 times to get an approximation of the average outcomes. This is (a) very slow, (b) very expensive (c) very complex.
I miss the playfulness of old forums: earning points as you post and having different ranks based on points.
@laslojott wanna join? :)
Today I learned that the German broadcaster ARD organises their own gamejam!
#Godot, baby!
OG equipment and documentation that was used to build Tomb Raider in the mid-90s and beyond.
