Oct 19, 2026, 5:50 PM@rk I'm on the board for the Plan 9 Foundation, which is structurally very similar to the NetBSD Foundation, although a fraction of the size. I could 100% see this having happened to us. We're sort of too small and low profile to be worth the attention of adversarial donors, but we certainly don't have any policies in place to prevent it. It would be really easy to not think about it until it happens.
(Although i'll certainly be pointing this out to the rest of the board now.)
