What streaming services are out there that give you the “cable TV experience?”
My wife is worried that when we switch to gFiber from Spectrum she won’t be able to just turn on the TV and have random stuff play. She likes to be able to do that.
Does SlingTV do that? Preferably like real channels (Bravo, ABC, etc) and not “themed” channels (Just Crime Dramas).
Just got the email that my house is good to go for gFiber.
Like yes Google is evil. So is Spectrum. I don’t have a lot of options here. Fiber it is.
The child in my avatar photo is as tall as me now and about to get his driver’s license.
But yes I have not aged a day and am as svelte and lithe as in my photo.
Genuine question, only slightly facetious: has there been a better TV show theme song since DuckTales? Did we peak?
Hey infosec folks, how’s this week going?
“Vampires can’t come in unless they’re invited.”

And don’t at me. Fuck FUTO and their bullshit. But give people trying to do the right thing some grace.
Remember y’all, if a shady company donates money to a small volunteer-run charity foundation that has never had to deal with adversarial donors before and has bylaws that constrain what they can do until the board can meet to change them, obviously the small charity run by volunteers in their spare time are the bad guys and should be accused of being fascists and/or incompetent. This also definitely makes you the hero.
Good lord y’all. Give them some time to sort this out.
I am sitting in the parking lot of Target because 15yo’s girlfriend’s parents brought her to Target to rendezvous with him to buy Legos, which they will build together next weekend. The kids are all right.
(I am in the parking lot because God forbid 15yo’s girlfriend knows he has a father.)
ダイニング?? What the hell does that mean???
What are some major OSS projects that *don’t* use git as their primary source code management system?
OpenBSD uses CVS
SQLite uses Fossil (naturally)
I’d assume mercurial uses mercurial
But git is the overwhelming majority, as far as I know.
YouTuber: This game was released on a computer most people have never heard of.
