I decided that instead of buying a new phone I am gonna replace the battery in my current one.
I have to use a heat gun to melt glue and pull the glass back out.
I have all the tools and equipment now.
But I am so scared.
@sixohsix I repaired my washing machine myself with the help of a youtube tutorial of some teen with his handyman dad showing how. it was very triumphant ;)
and: you can still buy a new phone if you mess it up but then you tried :)

@dhla Xiaomi Mi 11 lite 5g. Xiaomi accidentally made a phone that was too good. Their later models (they're up to 15 now) are all worse in comparison, and far more expensive.

@dhla I think inflation and memory cost is the biggest factor. Additionally I think that Xiaomi was trying to establish itself globally during the 11th generation of their phones. Now they have saturated the global market so they can afford to raise prices.
