If you want to know how to raid a place, you make friends, or you do a lot of research now. Proper planning prevents piss poor performance. Look at their home now, the number of entrances/exits, where it's easy to get in and where there is extra security. Make a note of number of vehicles at different times of day and days of the week. Learn about what tools you would need to gain access.
If you want to survive a big collapse eat the big fish first.

These people are already planning for the end, the trope of the rich person bunker is well known. Beat them to the punch, it's not like the police will be a thing in the event of a long famine.

Once you have a handle on the size of the problem you need to know how you are going to communicate with your fellow wasteland raiders, how you plan on ceasing any resistance and how you're going to move the things you take back to your community. These are much smaller problems.
