I've been waiting for the torches thing for a long time now. Back in the day there was a mod that would do that, but it also made an explosion if you ever placed a torch on a block with coal in it. 😆
(I tested it and this update doesn't do that.)
Oct 4, 2026, 4:26 PM@murdoc @autistics I'm kind of a grumpy curmudgeon when it comes to manually installing new mods on the server, because it's a poorly-documented, tedious process. One needs to ensure the changes can be rolled back as well.
I have to say I enjoy the deltachat chatroom. The replies, attachments, search-ability, emoji reactions, etc... these go a long way to understanding the feelings/sentiments of the other participants. The replies can be edited as well - I often make typos and need to go back and correct them.

Owl, my comment was not about you not using mods. To clarify, I meant that I have been waiting a long time for the *game devs* to introduce that feature, and the reason for that is because there was a mod that could do that many years ago. It wasn't a huge deal either way, it just seemed like an easy thing to put in the base game that never was until now.
So this was not about you, was not a judgement about you, I'm sorry for any misunderstanding and bad feelings. Ok? :BlobCatSmiley:
