Are you interested in women in technology? Would you like to support young women starting their sci-tech careers? Then I've got an opportunity for you - to donate to an excellent cause!
The Women in CompSci and Eng (WiCSE) chapter at Cal State Fullerton (CSUF) is looking to fund five Student Leader Fellowships.
If that's enough for you I'll just drop the link here, but read on if you want more details...
If you don't know about California schools, CSUF is part of the CSU system - less famous that the UC system, serving a different purpose/community.
CSU schools provide education to returning students, and students who didn't have all the opportunities or advantages. Due to location, CSUF helps lots of students from minority communities, many "first to college" in their families.
The WiCSE program gives them the skills to become "the Next Generation of Women Leaders in STEM"!

- Full disclosure: A relative of mine helps run the program. I don't see any conflict of interest issues, but it's better to be up-front about everything
- There's a place for comments on the donation form. If you'd like to, put something about "Came here from Mastodon" there. If I can find out. I'll report back on how we did via #CSUFWICSE. Follow that if you're interested.
- Oh, right - the fund-drive goes 'til Nov 1st, so act now!
Oh, yeah, also, Boosts Appreciated! 🙏
