Awooo! 🐺

Happy full Hunters #Moon to #Moonstodon 🌝

Here’s a little #Frogstodon from my bog to yours:

There she is ☺️

Seconds before a thick layer of clouds rolled in…
The almost full Hunters #Moon for #Moonstodon

Frodo: “Where am I, and what is the time?”

Gandalf: "In the House of Elrond, and it is ten o’clock in the morning. It is the morning of October the twenty fourth, if you want to know.”

Happy Chapter: #ManyMeetings Day to all who celebrate!

And the Lord spake, saying ''First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count and the number of the counting shall be three.

*Four shalt thou not count*

Neither count thou two excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it

I’m not OK, friends 💔

To the dude in the car next to me with the side eye:

Listen, when the radio cuts out while you’re jamming to Prince singing 7 you acapella that shit. just roll down your window and harmonise.

🎶
All seven and we'll watch them fall
They stand in the way of love and we will smoke them all
With an intellect and a savoir faire
No one in the whole universe will ever compare
I am yours now and
you are mine
And together we'll love through all
space and time
So don't cryyy
One day all seven will die

OK, maybe a quick snapshot from earlier. As a treat.
#Moon #Moonstodon 🌙

No pics but the crescent moon is beautiful low on the horizon right now here at the bog. 🌙

I know I’ve shared some cryptid-quality cell phone vids of the bobcats/kittens who occasionally visit behind my house, but have I shared my favourite pictures I’ve taken with my actually decent camera? #Wildyard #BogLife #Catstodon

Shoutout to whoever placed this sticker on the pumps here at my rural conservative filling station.

Getting the timing of the pic with the display text legit makes this one of my new favourite shots.

* There are always a couple of non-releasable geriBatric and non-flighted batties that are well cared for indefinitely, but they’re no longer considered “patients”.

(The rules for this vary drastically by state/country. Also I love them but bats would make terrible “pets” so this should never be a goal!)

I can post this now that the “don’t jinx it” moratorium has passed.

From Monday night when I released a small group of bats until about 2pm today, I had my first 42 hours with zero* clinical/rehab patients in my house since I took in my first patient on 24 December 2025. 😅

#BatsInMyBelfry 🦇🖤🦇

✅ Flu jab annual - done!

Next weekend: Covid boost!

🥳 Yay vaccines!

Happy #Baturday! TaDa! Tadarida brasiliensis that is.

This is one of the little free-tailed bats I have in care. He’s working on his audition to play Baby in a Dirty Dancing reboot. 10/10 no notes. #BatsInBlankets

Not a #snake! This is a glass lizard, one of the legless lizards found in the southeastern US.

☺️ Is friend-shaped!

Please do not the witch.

Seconding both of these spoopy season PSAs:

—Artificial spiderwebs outdoors will kill birds, bats, and loads of other critters. You might not see/notice it the fallout. But as a wildlife rehabber… it’s a fact and a completely avoidable tragedy. Please don’t.

—Charcoal as a decorative food additive *may* inactivate some meds. There is debate about how much it affects different classes of drugs, but if you’re taking anything that you rely on to be safe/alive… skip the charcoal-black treats.
