    Every November I find myself entranced by the contrast of dead rushes (sedges? Grasses?) and blue water. The rivers are beautiful year round!

    A dense stand of beige rushes in deep blue rippled water, paler where they emerge from the water and darker at the drooping tips. A second, smaller line of rushes is in the background.
