    @atpfm Re: HomeView prices … my theory is that if the wall mount was priced less than the table top version, people would buy it to save money but never mount it. The majority of units in the wild in that scenario would be flat on tables or stood up with janky, cheap hardware and never hung, so including a base speaker for “free” ensures the majority of them that get sold will actually look good in homes.

    @atpfm the best thing about the HomeView: the dozen Chinese copies that will drop very soon, probably with OLED and a Linux variant so we can tinker with Home Assistant @caseyliss ☺️

    @caseyliss thanks for the shoutout! And don’t worry about the right pronunciation, german names aren’t know for rolling off the tongue 🤣 (it’s “VEH-deh-kint”).
    I also still don’t have a Home Assistant board but I keep thinking about it. But most look like cheapo iPad knock-offs and it’s not easy to hide cables in stone-brick houses in Europe for wall mounting.
