    @atpfm Why waste all this time and effort on migration methods that are known to be fragile? I have migrated all my new Macs from timemachine backups and never had any issue. Same with iphone migration via icloud.

    @atpfm For many years (over 15) I have struggled with Siri pronouncing my mom’s name wrong.

    She is an old lady in US named Jan. It often says “Yahnn” is calling, like as if from Germany.

    You can do the Siri instruction but it doesn’t stick. And it resets even before software updates! 🤷

    @atpfm @caseyliss Casey - for your BMW app workaround, were you using High Performance Screen Sharing into the Mac Mini? That creates a virtual display upon connection and then removes it after disconnecting, which is likely why your screen was locking at that time. “Standard” vnc screen sharing should keep the Mini unlocked after disconnect, especially if using the HDMI dummy plug.

    @atpfm my 2003 Audi A3 1.9 TDI (diesel) has done 230k miles and it still drives (and looks) like new. I don’t have any plans to sell it, but it’s no longer my main car, which is now a 2023 Cupra Born EV (not available in the US AFAIK).

    @atpfm I don't know anything about how ShowerPlay works, but CarPlay is fine without a touch screen. It's how it works in my car, and even in my wife's car that does have a touch screen, I rarely use it. I could see that kind of buttons and knobs setup in situations where touch isn't viable.
