a while back someone posted an excerpt from Molly Naylor’s poem You’re Alright, which made me laugh and buy her book. reading the full poem made me laugh again so here’s another excerpt

an excerpt from a poem:

You're an apple, you're fine.
You're a biro, it works.
You're flowers from the Esso,
they're still flowers.
What are you having for tea tonight?
A jacket potato? Good. Do that.
I know it's not paleo,
but you don't have to do paleo,
that's for Hollywood and cunts.

Going swimming are you?
Doing butterfly are you?
Don't. Just do breaststroke.
Stop trying to do butterfly, it's weird.
