I didn't entirely slack on my reading, though — I finished @dilmandila 's Blossoming of the Big Tree, which is a fun and thoughtful steampunk sci-fi with high stakes and an unforgettable protagonist. My copy was an ARC and didn't have a cover yet, but the book is out now in its final form! https://www.ododopress.com/novellas/the-blossoming-of-the-big-tree/
