Electrical, Back of Grocery. Direct Watercolor.10"x8", Arches Cold Press.

This used to be the secret spot to park at the grocery in the back and not deal with traffic and lights. Not so secret any more, but I like the big blocks of color and various electrical workings that go into the building.

Watercolor painting of the backside of a grocery store in Middlebury, Vermont. The building facade takes up most of the scene, with its painted and faded yellow ochre brick. Attached to the building is various electrical equipment, with a large fuse box on the left and smaller regulating equipment in the lower center, both with angular pipes leading to the top of the building.
